The First Supply All-Star Challenge 100 had
a “big-time” feel to it with a packed
grandstand, an overflowing hospitality area,
Twenty-one year old Jacob Goede made his
first trip to Madison Int’l Speedway a
memorable one. The Minnesota driver
qualified seventh, and led a few laps before
finishing sixth in the main event.
“This is our first time here and only the
second time on the car, so we were thrilled
with how it went,” said Goede. “The track
really came right to me. The car was a little
tight, so we loosened it up a bit and by the
second practice we were the fastest car out
there. We were a little taller on gear than we
wanted to be, but the high line actually
helped me keep my momentum up and kind
of saved me.”

On the restart, Goede tried in vain to pull away from the field while
Buescher tried to keep pace. Goede would lead the field into the
10-minute halfway break on lap 100 over Buescher, Wes Griffith
Jr., Mike Osgar, Jack Smith from the rear of the field, Joe Ross,
Nick Neville, Dalton Zehr, Jason Setser, and Peter Cozzolino, the
Top 10.
Goede took the green again with Buescher in pursuit. The two
drivers pulled away from the pack dicing through lapped traffic.
With 20 laps to go, Jack Smith, who had been running in fifth
began his charge to the front and four laps, was in second spot
and reeling in Goede in a hurry.
Smith tried in vain to catch Goede and did so thanks to lapped
traffic. The two drivers battled back and fourth for the lead as
Smith looked high and low trying to figure out a way around
Goede.
Goede was up to the challenge however as the New Germany,
Minnesota driver would fight off the advances of Smith to
seemingly take home his first career ASALMS Feature win in only
his second ever start!

Chad Wood had worked his way up to second at the 10-minute break
followed by Tim Schendel from 24th, Downey, Jacob Goede from 23rd,
Trent Snyder from 22nd, Charlie Menard, Jake Ryan, Andy Hanson,
and Jonathan Eilen, the Top 10.
On the restart, Bires tried to lose the rest of the field in lapped traffic as
the Mauston, Wisconsin driver was putting cars a lap down at a rapid
rate.
In the meantime, local favorite, Jacob Goede worked his way into
second spot and after several more cautions in the waning laps, set up
a battle between the two to decide the outcome of the Labor Day 200
Presented by Trackside Charities.
After a thrilling battle, it all came to the forefront on what was the white

SHAKOPEE, Minn. – One week removed from his older brother Jacob
winning the ASA Minnesota Late Model Challenge Series Race at
Raceway Park, younger brother Matt Goede won his first career Late
Model feature Sunday at RWP. Goede held off “Racin’” Jason Schneider
in the closing laps to win the main event in the Country Joe Homes Late
Models on a scorching Sunday evening. Schneider used his front nose
to the best of his ability as he tried to get around Goede either on the
high side or low side. Goede would have none of that as he closed the
door each and every time and won the race by less than a car length.
The only caution came on lap six, after Goede used his front row starting
spot to build an early lead before it was negated when Donny Reuvers
and Gary Petrash made contact in turn four racing for second position
that sent Petrash around. The two were sent to the back of the field with
Goede at the point, followed by Schneider and Troy Wangerin for the
restart. Goede and Schneider quickly worked away from the pack as
Petrash and Reuvers worked through the field. Six laps later, Reuvers
moved by Petrash for third and settled in that position as Goede led
Schneider across the finish line

SHAKOPEE, Minn. – Jacob Goede held off a hard-charging Donny
Reuvers to win the 75-lap ASA Minnesota Late Model Challenge
Series race Sunday at Raceway Park. One night removed from
winning the ASA Minnesota Late Model Challenge Series race at I-
94 Raceway in Sauk Centre, Reuvers offered the strongest
challenge to Goede in the Country Joe Homes Late Models.
Goede, who started outside the second row, quickly moved to
second and took the lead on lap four. Reuvers started deep in
the field and moved to third by lap 29, where the first caution fell
for debris. That tightened the field up and negated the lead that
Goede and Jason Schneider had built. Six laps following the
caution, Reuvers moved by Schneider and reeled in Goede.
However, Goede held off Reuvers for three more cautions and the
remaining 41 laps. Schneider rounded out the top three
SAUK CENTRE, MN (Aug. 27, 2005) - Jacob Goede made his second
ever trip to the I-94 Raceway in Sauk Centre one to remember as he won
the final race of the ASA Minnesota Late Model Challenge Series. Things
started off with a bang as crash on the opening lap knocked Pat Maloney,
Bret Nordine and Jeff Lofquist out of the race. When the green flag
waved for a second time, Jon Lemke and Donny Reuvers fought it out for
the lead, with Reuvers taking the spot. LB Berthiaume then slid past
Lemke into second and pulled up right behind Reuvers. Joe Berthiaume
was then working his way up and on lap 18, he moved by LB, to take
second. On lap twenty, while trying to lap Tim Dehaan, Joe Berthiaume
made contact and brought out a caution. Reuvers held the restart, but
less than a lap later, LB Berthiaume crashed in turn four to bring out
another yellow. Reuvers held the lead when the green flag waved again
as Goede was now right behind. Goede turned up the pressure and he
got past Reuvers in turn four to take the lead on lap 21. Goede started to
pull away a bit as Reuvers now had Tim Olson battling for second. Olson
would get the spot just after the halfway point of the race and slowly
closed in on Goede. Molly Rhoads brought out the final caution of the
race when contact from another car sent her spinning down the front
stretch. Goede held his own on the restart as Olson and Ritch Johnson
ran tight for second. With ten to go, Johnson moved to second as Goede
was lapping cars out front. A clear track in the final handful of laps
allowed Goede to stretch his lead to a nearly a straightaway as he took
the win by 2.010 seconds over Johnson, who recorded a career best
second place finish
